Catholic Mom - Celebrating Catholic Motherhood

Parents, ever wish there was an easy place to go for ideas on bringing home the message of the Sunday readings? CatholicMom.com has this and more!

Take Out: Family Faith on the Go is a breakthrough mini-magazine from Our Sunday Visitor, written just for today's busy Catholic families.

Daily devotionals for all our elementary-age youth are available in the back of the church. These are good for three whole months!

MagnifiKid! is for children between the ages of six and  twelve. In each month’s packet, children will find a booklet of sixteen color pages for each Sunday, and also special issues for all major feast days.

This is the webpage for deSales Youth!  Check here for updates on what's going on at St. Francis de Sales Church regarding Youth Ministry.  The page will be updated periodically with new events, photos, and spiritual reflections.

Are you wearing a mask?

With the new school year starting, it is tempting to "re-create" yourself with the new year. This is a great idea if you plan to be the "best you you can be." We are always called to be authentic in our true identity as Children of God, so look to God to help in being your best self.

Too Young To Make A Difference?

Ever get caught thinking you're too young to make a difference in the world?  Think again!  Check out this inspiring story of a girl from Illinois who has decided she's going to make an impact and help people look good in the process.  "Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Ghandi

Giving and Receiving

These may be simple acts, but doing them the way we are called to requires the grace of God! It is His life within us that allows us to rise above our broken humanity to truly give without remembering and receive without forgetting.

Ephesians 6

This is one of my favorite chapters in all of Paul's letters. This chapter is packed with all sorts of goodies, but one that I frequently re-read is regarding the Armor of God. Check out this new video about just this! "Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil." - Ephesians 6:11

Reaching Out

As we celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph back in March, the Soldiers of God made gifts and prayer cards for the kids of Mandeville, Jamaica, our sister diocese. Last week our Social Justice Committee members went there on mission and hand-delivered these items!

Counted Time

With the celebration of the birthday of the Church, Pentecost, this past Sunday, we are now officially in Ordinary Time. Far from being 'usual' or 'average,' though, this more accurately means we are in 'counted time.' So now that we've celebrated the coming of the Holy Spirit, the question is:

How aware are you of the presence of the Holy Spirit?

Why not use the gift of this counted time to allow God to open your senses to His Presence within you and in everything and everyone around you. This happens through prayer and summer is the perfect time to work on your prayer life!
